Cultural and Heritage Commission

The Cultural and Heritage Commission is a 9-member board that seeks to support artistic, cultural, and historical programming in the County. The board supports all forms of art, including writing, visual arts, sculpture, music, dance, and other art forms. Additionally, they work to support the rich history and dynamic culture of the county and seek ways to inform the public about it.

The Commission meets monthly on the 4th Thursday at 3 pm.

Recreation Commission

The Recreation Commission is a 7-member board that helps to promote and support recreational activities in the County. This includes everything from hiking and basketball to football, bird watching, and kayaking. The board aims to encourage people of all ages and walks of life to find ways to enjoy all that Cumberland County has to offer.

The Commission meets monthly on the 2nd Thursday at 3 pm.

Tourism Advisory Council

The Tourism Advisory Council is a 7-member board, and its mission is to increase tourism to our area. The goal is to promote all the wonderful attractions that Cumberland County has to offer and to inform people about the numerous fun activities available here. The Council sponsors microgrants to assist local organizations in improving their marketing efforts.

The Council meets monthly on the 2nd Tuesday at 3 pm.
